Linux bites MS

Linux bites MS
26 January 2004

Linux, the alternative Operating System which last year made significant in-roads into the enterprise market, has had further momentum added to its bandwagon…thanks to Microsoft.

Bill Gates is now apparently taking the threat to Windows seriously, hence a brand new Microsoft web site dedicated to ‘proving’ that Windows is cheaper to use than Linux. Acknowledgement that Linux is beginning to bite Windows is implied further by the launch of a new multi-million dollar ad campaign which can be reasonably viewed as more than mere coincidence.
