| Customer service guru come to Portree | |
| 05 March 2003 Over eighty businesses from across Skye and Lochalsh are expected to gather in the Cuillin Hills Hotel tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 6 March) to hear top tips on how to provide 'legendary' customer service. Nigel Barlow has a reputation as one of the world's most dynamic business speakers and will address delegates at the Creating Legendary Customer Service event with practical hints on how to reach the highest levels of customer service. He will be joined by leading experts in customer care who will deliver a series of five practical workshops covering the main aspects and latest thinking on best practice techniques. The event is part of the Who Cares Wins initiative devised by Skye and Lochalsh Enterprise (SALE) to highlight the business benefits to be gained by striving for superior customer service. It has been structured as a practical and inspirational guide to stimulate fresh thinking in customer service, and Susan MacLeod from SALE hopes it will be as successful as last year's event. "We had a terrific response from businesses who took part in last year's Who Cares Wins event and we hope delegates will find this one just as informative," she said. "This type of training is not just for the tourism industry. All businesses that rely on the attraction and retention of customers should get involved, as there is a clear link between good customer care and profit. "Nigel Barlow's enthusiasm and passion for customer service is infectious and I'm confident that everyone will come away with a renewed determination to continue to aim for the highest standards." | |
