| 15 January 2003 Help is at hand for Lochaber residents who have pledged to learn another skill as a New Year's resolution. The second edition of Lochaber Enterprise's Business Course Directory rolls off the press this month and will be distributed to all businesses within the area over the coming weeks. It lists business courses for 2003 and is a handy year round reference guide. With over 70 courses on offer covering topics such as tourism, promoting your business, computing, management skills and basic book keeping, there should be something for everyone. All the courses are scheduled to be held in Lochaber College and the directory gives a description of each course along with booking and price details. Tina Davenport, skills development manager with Lochaber Enterprise hopes the directory will encourage people to think about their training needs: "The first edition of the directory was very well received and prompted almost 600 people to attend the courses last year. Local businesses that realise the importance of investing in their staff should find it is a valuable tool when it comes to planning their training programme for the "We are planning to hold all the courses in the college, but if residents in rural areas would like courses delivered elsewhere then they should let us know and we will try our best to accommodate them. "People should also get in touch with us if they haven't received their copy through the post by the end of the month, as we will be happy to send one direct." * Tina Davenport can be contacted on 01397 704 326 or email | |
