| 09 September 2002 An evening masterclass for local businesses, which will take place in Aviemore on September 19th, has attracted widespread interest from across Moray Badenoch and Strathspey. All spaces are now booked up. The renowned charismatic and humorous motivational speaker, Steve McDermott will present the event, entitled 'Don't Just Blame the Weather! - Strategies for Success'. It has been organised by Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise (MBSE) to inspire creativity and innovation among local businesses. Among those attending will be members of the Kingussie High School 'Young Enterprise' club. Rector, Dr. Tom Taylor, said he was keen to encourage the club members to go along. He added: "The Young Enterprise club is all about fostering interest in enterprise and encouraging our future entrepreneurs. It's not every day that our youngsters have such an enviable opportunity to attend an event like this. I am delighted that some of our pupils are going along and I have no doubt they will find it extremely beneficial." Although spaces at this event are now all booked MBSE is keen to keep a register of business interests in the area interested in attending future masterclasses. Wendy Galloway, head of skills development at MBSE, said: "Steve McDermott has clearly been a popular choice for this event, but we are keen to organise similar events in the future and would be interested to hear from members of the Moray, Badenoch and Strathspey business community who would be interested in attending these." More information about up and coming skills events at MBSE is available from Maxine Chappell on 01309 696022 (maxine.chappell@hient.co.uk). | |
