The high quality restaurant and retail shopping facility at Brodie Countryfare has become a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike in the north of Scotland and is situated just off the A96 between Forres and Nairn.

Ms Fitchie explained: "Brodie has expanded over the years from a small farm shop to an extensive visitor attraction which now includes high quality clothing, food and gifts.

"Since we opened our doors over 24 years ago, we have of course taken on many more staff. It is therefore important that our 70 employees understand the aims and objectives of our business. The Investors in People process has helped us focus on these objectives and involve our employees in the future success of the business.

Investors in People is a national initiative which has been set up to ensure that organisations no matter what their size achieve their aims and objectives through the effective and ongoing development of their staff. IiP is delivered in the local area by Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise (MBSE).

Ms Fitchie added: "With help and advice from MBSE, we have also recently been recognised as an approved centre to deliver vocational qualifications on the premises."

Brodie Country fare will be celebrating its 25th anniversary next year and plans on expanding with a further development at Drumoak near Banchory.
