A new website promoting Caithness as a green tourism destination with its abundance of wildlife and outdoor activities has been launched.

The 'Wild Caithness' website, which can be found at www.wildcaithness.org, aims to capitalise on the growing interest in green tourism holidays.

The website is designed to give visitors the maximum amount of information about the flora, fauna and wildlife of the area, as well as the many activities that are on offer in the far north.  In addition to the information on what to see and do, details of places to stay and how to get there and general visitor information can all be found on the new site.

Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise has helped fund the new website which has been designed by Thurso-based Internet Promotions.
