A survey pinpointing a lack of locally available management training, led to a course being organised for sixteen businesses in the Inverness and Nairn area.

Participants, mainly from the hospitality industry, included the Inverness Aquadome and Kingsmills Hotel. Subjects covered on the 6 day course included communication, team working, motivation and controlling resources. The training was delivered on behalf of Inverness and Nairn Enterprise by Cowal Training from Argyll.

Head of skills development at INE Ian Fraser said: "This course was greeted with great enthusiasm and helps to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of the businesses attending. There is a demand for this type of training and we'll look to running other, similar courses in the future."
