| CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRE RECEIVES AWARD | |
| 21 November 2000 The latest Ross-shire business to be recognised as an Investor in People (IiP) has been presented with the coveted business award at a special event held today (Tuesday, 21 November, 2000). Pictured presenting the IiP award to David Stewart, service delivery manager of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's Dingwall centre is Gordon Cox, chief executive of Ross and Cromarty Enterprise (RACE). Looking on is Robert Ingram, human resources director for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. The recognition for the Dingwall customer service centre comes just two years after it initially opened for business. During this time the workforce has grown from nothing to over 300, providing valuable employment for local people. IiP is the national business development award which encourages organisations and companies to make the most of their key resource - their staff - by developing their skills in line with business objectives. RACE provided practical support and advice to assist Cap Gemini Ernst & Young gain the award which is independently assessed and awarded. | |
