From today [Monday 26 February], rural communities across Scotland will have access to a new multi-million pound lottery-funded resource to help them purchase, develop or manage their local land, as the New Opportunities Fund begins roll-out of the £10 million Scottish Land Fund grant programme.

Seumas Campbell, has been awarded a Business Development Grant worth £1,900 from Skye and Lochalsh Enterprise (SALE) in order to buy new equipment, helping to make the business more efficient.

WORK IN PROGRESS AT THE DUNVEGAN HOTEL

The 'work in progress' signs are back up at the Dunvegan Hotel on the Isle of Skye with the second phase of a major renovation project now underway. Hotel owners, Malcolm and Peggy Morrison are gradually upgrading the hotel and hope to eventually achieve four star status and make the hotel one of the village focal points.
