The new competition was launched by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and nominations are now being accepted from enterprising cities, towns or areas around Britain. | |
| Jim Wallace announces new Broadband grant scheme The Deputy First Minister, Jim Wallace, announced today that a new Broadband grant scheme has been launched by the Scottish Executive.
The announcement came during a visit to Lochgilphead firm, Midton Acrylics. The company benefited from the original satellite Broadband grant scheme and have enjoyed their Broadband connection for over a year.
Businesses will be able to apply for the new scheme by online application through the national Broadband for Scotland web site. | |
