The most southerly of HIE's local enterprise companies, HIE Argyll and the Islands covers a variety of mainland and island communities. The area benefits from close links with Scotland's central belt and Glasgow's international airport, factors that attract successful new high tech industries which are able to blossom and grow in harmony with the area's precious environment. HIE Argyll and the Islands maintains close contacts with local communities, councils, businesses and other organisations working in the area.
